Cut & Occasion｜Hip length with a slight A-line, so arms go up and the waist bends without the hem riding up. For school, weekends and everything between — no cartoon patches, nothing that marks it as one gender, so it passes from one child to the next.
Cloth｜100% Australian merino wool, double-faced weave at 520 g/m — 160 g lighter than the adult coat, in 80S/2 yarn. Children move constantly, so the weight is taken off the shoulders while the two-layer construction still holds the warmth.
Detail｜Built the same way as the adult coat: hand-stitched edges with no topstitch, smooth on both faces, no hard seam at the neck. Concealed press studs a child can manage alone; hem and cuffs double-turned for wear.
Fabric & Care
100% wool (Australian merino). Dry clean only. Do not bleach. Cool iron (max 110°C) with a pressing cloth. Dry flat in shade, then store.
How It Is Made
The same process as the adult coat: two layers of wool hand-joined at the edge with over 1,400 stitches. The panels are smaller but the stitch count per centimetre is higher, so the edges resist loosening more than the adult version.
